The beauty of infinity...

Life is a journey, not a destination and every journey begins with a single step. At every point in our lives, there comes a time when we must take a leap of faith just to see what is beyond the ravine. There are times when we fall but, the great thing about life is that we can choose to pick ourselves up.

I am not a good loser. I refuse to admit defeat and I always push forward. I always press on. Unfortunately, moving forward doesn't necessarily mean you know where you're going. I came across this very intelligent girl who gave me the most useful piece of advice that I've ever been given in a long time. The advice is "Dasal, misa, at paligo lang katapat niyan". In English, it means all you need are prayers and a shower. Well, in a nutshell, anyway. Like I said, going forward does not necessarily entail that you know where you're going. Let's just say that without her, I'd be lost.

There are some things in life that you lose eventually. At every turn, you have to cope. While, I have to admit, there are no substitutes for those we lose, we have to look at the bigger picture. Life is a celebration and its end is just the time to reminisce. A time to rest and a time to lay down the memories for all to cherish.

While tears may run and hearts may break, it is all with a realization that it is in its time and in its place. To paraphrase, what lies beyond the bend we shall someday see and until then, we move forward carrying stories, songs, and memories.
